With a focus on ethics and innovation, the discussion will spotlight Muslim-led breakthroughs in the field of medicine.
Speaker Biographies:
Dr. Saquib Rahim — Dr. Saquib Rahim is the Chief Medical Officer for Primefocus Health, an AI-enabled Remote Patient Management platform that is a subsidiary of LG. Primefocus is currently partnered with the state of West Virginia to expand access to quality care for unmet and underserved populations in the state. Dr. Rahim is also clinical faculty in the New York Presbyterian system and a board certified, actively practicing Internal Medicine physician. He earned his MD from Northwestern University and his MBA from Harvard Business School
Osama Elsaleh — Osama AlSaleh is a health innovation leader and former global development advisor working across venture capital, public policy, and digital health. He currently serves as Head of Partnerships for Health at Plug and Play Tech Center, where he connects startups with Fortune 1000s to scale transformative solutions. His prior work spans the World Bank, IMF, and Oracle Foundation, with a focus on systems change, philanthropy, and technology for impact.
Haroon Choudery — Haroon Choudery is the founder & CEO of Autoblocks. A former machine-learning engineer at Mark Cuban Companies, Deloitte, and Komodo Health, he holds an MS in Information & Data Science from UC Berkeley. He co-founded the AI-literacy nonprofit AI For Anyone, which has introduced AI fundamentals to 70k+ learners, writes the 50k-subscriber Not A Bot newsletter, and hosts the Building With AI podcast—all focused on demystifying applied AI for builders and business leaders.
Issam Alzouby — Issam is an AI researcher and PhD student specializing in the intersection of AI and healthcare. He also serves as Chief AI Engineer at Covenant Intelligence Group, a multi-institutional research group focused on advancing medical AI research. With expertise in medical AI and human motion modeling, he has collaborated with organizations like Duke, Stanford, and Charlotte’s AI4Health Center to understand and define how AI will transform the future of healthcare.
Robhy Bustami — Robhy Bustami is the CEO & Co-Founder of BioticsAI, winner of TechCrunch Disrupt 2023 in San Francisco. An AI engineer raised in a family of OB/GYNs, he built a pioneering platform that detects fetal abnormalities in ultrasound, uniting healthcare institutions across the MENA region and the United States to advance prenatal care and transform pregnancy outcomes.
