The Ramadan Solidarity Iftar connects tech and legal professionals and spotlights the urgency of economic solidarity to fortify our future.

Black Excellence in a Technology Economy
Join us for a double header event during Black History Month for people of all backgrounds across the Habibi community.
Fireside Chat
First up, our Fireside Chat will feature a vulnerably authentic discussion between social justice advocate and Meta (Facebook) Product Policy Manager Yusuf Abdul-Qadir, and Alaa Taha, a Stanford and Harvard Business School alum who is now a Marketplace Product Manager at Incredible Health.
We are pleased to invite you to an upcoming live demo event where we will be exploring a range of critical themes affecting Black Habibis from African American and African diaspora backgrounds. This thought-provoking discussion is designed to offer insight into the shared and divergent experiences of Black tech professionals as they navigate the various challenges that are present in the industry.
Our panel of experts will be discussing various topics related to the Black experience within the tech industry, including issues related to race, identity, and representation. We will be exploring the ways in which these issues have impacted the professional journeys of Black Habibis, and how they have developed their own strategies for success in spite of the obstacles they have faced.
While the event is focused on the experiences of Black Habibis in the tech industry, we believe that the lessons that will be shared are universal in nature and can be applied to other diverse minorities operating in tech and beyond. Attendees will come away with a better understanding of the importance of representation and the ways in which identity can shape professional experiences. They will also learn about strategies for navigating systemic biases and how to create pathways for success in spite of the obstacles that may arise.
This event promises to be an engaging and insightful discussion that will offer valuable insights for anyone who is interested in creating a more equitable and inclusive tech industry. We hope to see you there!

Lost in the Matrix Open Mic with Muslim Writers Collective
Lost in the Matrix alludes to the notion that as human beings, we are wanderers in an ethereal realm, with no recollection of our origins, limited grasp of today, and mere hopes for what tomorrow will bring. How do we make sense of who we are in this reality? What inspiration can we draw from our faith and our traditions? How will we find our way to our ultimate destination?
Join MWC and Habibi Tech for an unforgettable open mic as we explore technology, tomorrow, and today.
Share with us what this journey means to you, what inspires you and gives you life, what gives you solace on cold, dark nights, what makes you feel hopeful. Come build a welcoming, spiritual community with us - open to all, as you are. Sign up to share your story at bit.ly/shareatmwc.
