Lost in the Matrix alludes to the notion that as human beings, we are wanderers in an ethereal realm, with no recollection of our origins, limited grasp of today, and mere hopes for what tomorrow will bring. How do we make sense of who we are in this reality? What inspiration can we draw from our faith and our traditions? How will we find our way to our ultimate destination?
Join MWC and Habibi Tech for an unforgettable open mic as we explore technology, tomorrow, and today.
Share with us what this journey means to you, what inspires you and gives you life, what gives you solace on cold, dark nights, what makes you feel hopeful. Come build a welcoming, spiritual community with us - open to all, as you are. Sign up to share your story at bit.ly/shareatmwc.
** ABOUT MWC **
Muslim Writers Collective (MWC) is a grassroots initiative dedicated to promoting storytelling in the Muslim community. Through monthly events across the US and Canada, we are reviving a vibrant creative and literary tradition, one open mic at a time. Founded in January 2014 in New York City, we have held over 250 events in over twenty cities, welcoming hundreds of first time performers and tens of thousands of attendees. PRI has called us "an oasis to Muslims in America,” and VICE has acclaimed us as "a space for young Muslims to honor their humanity." Join us at an MWC event near you!
